Calico launches into Gravitational’s orbit

Happy New Year!

We are starting 2017 by sharing news that our friends at Gravitational are making Calico available to their customers. Gravitational enables SaaS companies and independent software vendors to deploy and manage their applications on their customers’ infrastructure. The Gravitational Telekube platform leverages Kubernetes for container orchestration – and now, Calico for secure, policy-based networking.

Gravitational’s CTO, Sasha Klizhentas, declared that Calico “has clearly become the de facto solution for Kubernetes networking”. We couldn’t agree more!

We look forward to working with and supporting Gravitational and their customers.

Having cycled through various roles from software engineering to marketing ("fear leads to the dark side" - Yoda), I ended up in management, and am affectionately known by my teammates as the "PHB of Project Calico" (I must look up that acronym sometime). I am grateful to be able to live in beautiful Berkeley, California, where I enjoy the proximity to world-class sailing, skiing and wine - and spending time with my family (wife, 2 kids, 2 cats - neither of them calicos, 1 dog and 1 turtle).
